Portable Storage Boxes/PODS.
That’s another advertising opportunity I think about often.
One’s been sitting on a driveway in my neighborhood for over a month now.
Every time I drive past it, I can’t help but think, “What a great advertising opportunity!”
Those things cost like $150/month — not expensive.
If I’m a mortgage or real estate company, I’m paying the $150 for you in exchange for having my big beautiful logo on there, ideally with a good CTA.
I know there’s more logistically to figure out to make that possible, but still, it just seems like such an opportunity.
Those boxes have plenty of surface area and they’re usually sitting in a really visible spot for weeks at a time…
And the box/pod renters are planning something big — possibly including a home purchase or a refi.
Worst case scenario, it’s a great branding play.
One of these big mortgage or real estate companies might consider partnering with, investing in, (or buying) one of these storage container operations.
Maybe it’s a silly idea, but I think there’s something to it.
